I miss Psych, but Castle starts up next week. hehe

I hope you get tons of wonderful sleep. A comedian once said he can tell how much older he is when he watches mattress commercials and wants to immediately go out and buy a new bed. I'm like that now!robgirlbookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03398614063792587098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335622942047923783.post-82893219774401029432013-09-18T19:36:11.408-07:002013-09-18T19:36:11.408-07:00I definitely saw the Castle and Psych episodes and...I definitely saw the Castle and Psych episodes and loved both of those bank scenes. I've seen more of those as well - you are so right, they happen so often with a bunch of different shows! I'll have to check out your guest post tomorrow when I'm not so sleepy :D Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.JezzebellJChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08810958025835878964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335622942047923783.post-75200096441624938812013-09-18T14:21:58.824-07:002013-09-18T14:21:58.824-07:00Oh, I know, Donnie Darko Girl. I've watched tons of zombie movies and the girl on the ladder overlooking the swarm on its way to her location from your 100 (400?) word short stands out in my mind more than most of those movies. As long as the storyteller loves the subject, I think anything can happen. And you sure do love your zombies! I just told my sister that she has to watch Warm Bodies and World War Z with me. hehe robgirlbookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03398614063792587098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335622942047923783.post-47555888014414682942013-09-18T14:15:18.035-07:002013-09-18T14:15:18.035-07:00You make some really great points. But it's irrational because there are so many creative people out there who put their own spin on things, even things that have been done a ton of times. I love seeing new twists. We're all influenced by someone and something, right? :)

I haven't seen Psych or Castle, but I love Nathan Fillion! He was in Buffy the last season, you know! :D~Jennifer~https://www.blogger.com/profile/05952809868354553112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335622942047923783.post-68433548152406531532013-09-18T13:15:27.874-07:002013-09-18T13:15:27.874-07:00Did you catch the series finale of Burn Notice? It's certainly my favorite part of the writing process. Thanks for stopping by, Tilly! robgirlbookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03398614063792587098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335622942047923783.post-3792824480330800012013-09-18T11:30:33.533-07:002013-09-18T11:30:33.533-07:00I love Burn Notice and Castle! The Bank Robbery plot is used all the time, but it can be really good.

~Tilly @ Hardcore HeroinesAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03980656592819266422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335622942047923783.post-85443113073112187852013-09-17T15:54:09.510-07:002013-09-17T15:54:09.510-07:00Ha! Another favorite series archetype is the singing episode. I love it when a show breaks out in song. Buffy and Angel's were the best! Oh, and Xena's, that was so much fun.

As a reader, I love it when an author takes a subject I love and gives me a whole different world, like Mercy's vamps. I do not dream of running of with Stefan. Nope. The vamps in the Kate Daniels' series is in the category of gnarly-scary.

I loved your couples stay together post!robgirlbookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03398614063792587098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335622942047923783.post-59054381917642055112013-09-17T14:24:05.128-07:002013-09-17T14:24:05.128-07:00I actually remember that episode from Castle, and ...I actually remember that episode from Castle, and I'm pretty sure all of the different CSI series have had someone in the bank while it was robbed as well :) And it's kind of fun that different shows do those scenarios, but still manage to be somewhat original.

I admire all you writers! You are able to have just an idea and make it into a whole story with it's own world and characters!

Lexxie @ (un)Conventional BookviewsLinda @ (un)Conventional Bookwormshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16627780985218960080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335622942047923783.post-83578775967885648452013-09-16T13:51:25.117-07:002013-09-16T13:51:25.117-07:00Thanks, Brandee! Jenks would be a hoot. I know Betsy never fails to entertain me even though she's just a human teen.

We were watching the Seahawks playing too! This is me, "How come that guy ran straight into the pack?" If James ever complains that you read during the games let him know it could be worse. I saw more footage of the floods in Colorado. Amazing! We had fog, drizzle, and lightening so the weather people actually had something to talk about. robgirlbookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03398614063792587098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2335622942047923783.post-70553697635588695052013-09-16T08:36:25.632-07:002013-09-16T08:36:25.632-07:00I love 'em too, Robyn. It's one of the things I love about your books - the familiarity of the story that's not familiar at all. Does that make sense?

Great post, Robyn!

I think we're gonna dry out a bit today. I saw you were getting rain last night. :) How, you ask?
