Feature and Follow [12]: Live and In Person!

This week's question is: What blogger would you most like to meet in real life? Tell us about him or her.

There's no "most" about it. I have so many new friends from venturing into this wonderful world of blogging, I tell you what, if I ran into a person in the grocery line and she mentioned she blogged, I'd be her best friend. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but bloggers are awesome people. We click, click, click away to share our passion for stories and characters, to connect with other book people, to get away from the puzzled looks on our family's faces when we're outraged over the crap ending of a book we've been waiting a year to read. We're chatty, opinionated, crafty people. Basically we rock and I'd love to hang out with any book blogger. I will say that I was so lucky to stumble onto JC's Book Haven's blog to ask Jaclyn if she'd like to review my book, Soul Walker. We've become great friends. And from there, I met other bloggers I call friends.

LOL, I know what you mean, Robyn - I wish I had just added ALL the bloggers I visit on a regular basis... But I didn't. Thanks for adding me to your list! It would be a lot of fun to meet. Maybe a total blogger-con should take place one day - somewhere nice, warm, quiet and cheap, so we can sip drinks and talk about books, sidekicks, writing and many other things.

Nice list here! It's hard to choose just one or even a few! I would be happy meeting anyone! I've met a few in the past as well, but I think at the time of one, I didn't even realize it was her til I got home!

Great list, Robyn. Thanks for thinking of me. Did you know that I had almost given up on making a post for today's FF since I was late, but the I liked the question; there was no way I was going to miss it, so I quickly wrote my post.

OK so guy at work asks me what I'm doing this weekend and I say, "drawing a picture of ______ for my sidekick saturday post on my blog" (Hey! I can't tell you yet it's a surprise!) and he says, "sounds lame, are you at least having a beer with that?". LOL yep non bloggers don't get it. You know we're friends for life now, and I'm so glad you've made such an awesome circle of friends as well. I saw your name listed on a lot of blogs today :D Thank you for thinking of me! I second the request to forgive those of us with spacing issues, Robyn. I KNOW I missed people on my list. Blogging has been amazingly fulfilling. Meeting this group of people who share my passion is - I have no words. I vote we try to make Traci's suggestion of a huge and cheap blogger con a reality! LOL Oh, can you imagine?!?

I laugh when people fall down. It's a glitch in my programming, but even my mom has suffered this quirk. I have a BA in Studio Art from the University of Puget Sound. My boys make me laugh every day. John snatched his older brother's Lego Star Wars shorts out of the laundry and quickly put them on. "These are mine." "No, John." "But they look good on me."

In an attempt to redirect the morning car-bickering routine, I transformed into one of those newly-minted teachers, you know, the enthusiastic cheerleader smiling kind. "Who knows the number one car rule?" I toss out there in a chipper voice. "I do. I do!" bounces around the car as excited hands wave back and forth. "Okay John, what's the number one car rule?" "No, pooping in the car."
Will's teacher asked him, "What do you want to do when you grow up?" "Help my mom."
Just to set up this next quote, I'm not the best interpreter of 4yr old speak. "Mom, Will's clothes disappeared." Since Will wasn't naked I looked back at John. "What does that mean?" "Disappeared means Will's clothes are gone!" he says with his hands making a vanishing act gesture.
"Mom, what rhymes with duck?" 4yr old John
Recently, John found a handful of Pez dispensers. Since he doesn't like the candy, he plays with them like action figures. "Mom, you play Woody, I'll play Garfield and Thor." I dutifully play Woody from Toy Story. "I'm Sheriff Woody. Reach for the sky." "I'm Garfield. I'm a talking cat. I'm Thor. I'm a superhero. Hey, let's look up." (because that is all a pez dispenser can do)
"Will, stop bossing John around." "I'm helping you boss John around." my 10 yr old
"Mom, I wanted weapons for Christmas. Santa is on the naughty list." my 4yr old
"Hot dogs are made of dead animals, Mom...I love dead animals!" my 4yr old
"When I say I don't like you, I love you." my 4yr old
"I've had a rough day." me "Like a Viking?" my 10 yr old
Seven days before Christmas it snows. "Merry Christmas, Mom," ten year old Will says with his arm around me.
"We have to take care of each other, Mom." my son Will
"The baddest guy in Mexico beat me." 4 year old John
"If you think my name is Cinderella, you just don't get it." my son John
