Going dark this week, but I have great book news!

I'm out of commission this upcoming week. Will is on the slow mend from the stomach flu. He's sassing me finally, so all is right in my world. (Update...I have it now so maybe all is not right in my world, but I am thrilled Will is on the other side of this terrible bug.)

In book news, Soul Walker and Soul Bender have spanking new covers thanks to our wonderful Jaclyn at JC's Book Haven. We're planning a cover celebration hop/giveaway the first week in December. Anyone who wants to participate just drop a line.

Also, I'd hoped to publish Shadow Town this year, but it looks like January is going to be my magical book release month. Blame my publisher (dang, that's me). Shadow Town follows nineteen year old Maggie Lane. By day she's property manager of Pearl Estates, a housing community owned by her father and occupied by Shadows. By night she's a waitress at a local dive. When a girl at her night job disappears she goes into Scooby Doo mode. She might be able to handle a missing waitress on her own, but when a new Shadow moves in next door and turns her into a blushing, flirting, love-crazed girl, her need for answers reveals a world waiting, stalking, sharpening their teeth for her.

(I originally published this post Sunday night...but it was too depressing at the time since Will was breaking my heart, so I reverted it to draft...sorry for anyone clicking all over the place trying to find it)

    1. Thank you Athina! The covers are so pretty. Will is better, thank goodness. Sadly, I have it now. I just hope to keep John from it since there are only two people left on both sides of the family who haven't been struck down yet. How's NaNo? Gotta say it's nearly impossible writing a kissing scene when you have the stomach flu. Who knows what I came up with last night before all hell broke loose.

    2. NaNo is not going so good. I have 25K and I don't think I can make it to 50. I keep writing though. Even if I don't have the 50 my story continues and I'm starting to dream about the third book in this series. (I still need to find a name for the series!)
Hehe, writing a kissing scene when you have the flu must be interesting. :) What are you writing about?

I hope you feel better soon.

    3. I love it when the next book in the series comes to me like that. I usually allow myself to write the first scene, then I put it on hold until I finish the current project. That's awesome, Athina! I was on track to finish ahead of schedule, but this flu has kicked my butt. My story is about a girl who always scribbles on her arms and legs and has enough magic to make the drawings come to life for ten seconds, then her ex comes into the picture and she discovers he's her magical catalyst. It's a lot of fun to write. I feel the need for some bloodshed, so I'm pretty sure people are going to get hurt the next time I sit down with the story. How about you? What sort of titles are floating around in your head?

    4. Sorry I didn't see this on time. :/
Your story sounds awesome, Robyn. Publish it soon so we can read it. Magic, a girl an ex, this is good. :)

What sort of titles, huh? I don't really have something in mind. This is hard.

    5. Next week I'll post the first chapter for fun. It will be rough. I'm terrible at titles. Really. In art school I didn't title the work until it was up on the wall. Oh, and naming characters. I suck at that too!

    1. Thanks, Ki. Will is better. He's sassing me and joking around. First thing he did when he felt better was tell me a joke. I knew he did it just to make me feel better.

I'm so happy you want to join the hop/giveaway. When I have everything together, I'll get the info over to you.

    2. That's so sweet of him. He knows how to get a lady's smiles.

      Fabulous!
