A couple days ago John put on his most solemn face.
"Mom, is Santa Claus real?"
"Do you think he's real?" I asked.
"Um, no. I don't think so. Dad says he isn't."
"No, your daddy did not say that."
"Okay, you're right. Is he real?"
"Well, Santa means different things for-"
"Will, is Santa real?"
"Of course he is! We saw Santa at the mall last year."
John sat on that for a few seconds.
"Okay, okay. I was wrong. He's real."
And all was right in his world...until this morning when he told me Santa wasn't real but the Easter Bunny definetely was.
