When life's kicking your butt, how about a theme song? [7] Love

So I'm writing a romance. Yep, but I'm at the part of the story where it's simply impossible for the two to ever find a way to each other. There is such a journey ahead for my characters, and when I think of emotional journeys I think of the songs that play in movies when the person is finally on the path of discovery. I think of love songs and I'm just so excited to work my way toward the song I chose, All My Days by Alexi Murdoch. It's such a neat song!! So how about you? What song says love to you? Because when life is truly kicking your butt, why not get giddy about something?

  2. Good luck with your next writing journey Robyn!

Ooh, I totally love this song. It makes me feel so nice and like you said, giddy. So many emotions all at once! You should check out Don't Stop the Music by Jamie Cullum. It's actually not that similar to All My Days but I'm really loving it! Just need to spread the love. :D

    1. That's a great song. I just listened to it! Maybe they're not similar, but they both have this slow kind of build up until you're almost bouncing and smiling. Happy youtubing/blogging/reading/fangirling, Larua!!

  3. What a beautiful song! I hope you enjoy writing your romance :D I remember us talking about the experiences we've had that could certainly go into a contemporary. This may be one romance I have to read. Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.

    1. Oh man, Jaclyn, we are the before in every contemporary romance novel. We're just waiting for the middle and end of our stories. I never thought I'd enjoy contemporary romance as much as I do and of all heat levels too (though rated R is my favorite-hehe).

      I hope you're having a great weekend!!!

    1. I told my sister the theme song was love and I think I broke her. She still can't pick a song, like her brain just went blank! And she's a total music girl.

I hope you're doing well! I bet you're going a little stir crazy for your trip.

  5. I'm so excited to hear you're writing a romance! Isn't this what your dad has been wanting? ;) This will be hard to narrow down my choices for love I think.

    1. Oh my gosh, I forgot about my dad and I don't think this will be the one for him to read. One of these years I'll write a book just for dad.

I thought I'd pick something different for love then I heard this song and wanted to listen over and over. I wanted my characters to know the song.
