Think Out Loud [41] Coming Soon!

Here are a few movies I'm just so dang excited about! A war movie about saving art. Come on! The Monuments Men has an amazing cast with a story I haven't read anything about. I'm a total Richelle Mead fan and Vampire Academy is plain cool! I haven't read The Fault in Our Stars, but the preview makes me cry. I need to get on it. My boys ask me constantly when The Lego Movie is coming out. Batman has a classic line in the preview that we all act out on a regular basis. And I absolutely love all the new Marvel movies! These are the big standouts in my mind right now. Trust me the list can go and go.

As you can see, Think Out Loud is an anything you want meme. Hang out with us and share your thoughts, grudges, triumphs, whatever!

In case you missed it, which you probably didn't, I just released the first book in my new NA Paranormal Romance series, Shadow Town: Maggie Lane Chronicles #1. We're doing a blog tour February 24-28. If you're interested in joining, leave a comment or email me. We're happy to have you!

  1. Well, I am not happy! Did you like the VA trailer? I mean, I am a huge fan! Mead's and VA's and what I see does not make me happy. It seems like it's a comedy, when VA should be more serious than this. Uh, I don't know. I have to wait to watch the movie, but I'm not happy!
There is goes, I got it off my chest.

I haven't read The Fault n our stars either, but the trailer makes me want to read it. :)

    Thanks for sharing, Robyn.

    1. I completely understand, Athina! When they released the first teaser last year I ranted for a while. Then I shook it off because I think it will be campy and aimed at a younger audience, but totally fun. It will be two completely different versions of the story, maybe two completely different stories! But I'm game.

I think I have to read the book first for The Fault in Our Stars, but I have a little time because there's no way I'm watching this movie in the theaters. I will cry with the opening credits. Snivel snivel. I hope you're having an excellent week. I loved your review of The Shining!

    1. I think VA will disappoint a lot of us who have been long time fans. When I go I'm going to shed the blogger/reader girl in me and get all giddy over my contraband Skittles and a break from the kids. It will be fun! TFIOS trailer is so amazing! "I'm a grenade." Holy smoke! What an amazing line. I have to read the book and then wait for it to come to DVD so I can bawl my eyes out in private. I am not a pretty crier. I loved the B.A.P. review!

  3. Thanks for sharing the trailer for The Monuments Men, Robyn. At the Super Bowl party, some ladies were talking about it and I had NO idea what they were talking about...because I really don't watch t.v. I'm actually going to see VA on Saturday with a girlfriend whom I turned into a fan. :) Watching the trailer though makes me think I may be disappointed. :( I haven't yet read TFiOS either but Sky and I just decided we're gonna read it and go see the movie - both activities involving boxes of tissue! (btw, Jax read it week before last) And Sky just told me that Captain America comes out on my bday!!!

As for the Lego movie...Jax is boycotting Lego for 'selling out'! hahaha

    1. Both my boys would have only one word for Jax, "huh?" Does Jax know that the whole movie is filmed with live action shots, no computer animation? That has to win them some points. And selling out? I need to have a talk with him. Did he not see the trailer where Batman says, "I'm here to see your butt." Come on. That's so funny!

That is so sweet that you and Sky are going to read the book and watch the movie together. I have wonderful crying movie memories with my mom. You have to tell her that Rachel Caine wrote her own tale of Romeo and Juliet (Prince of Shadows).

I think the VA movie is going to be campy as hell and geared to a much younger audience, but I've decided to love it anyway. Guess who is going to beat you to the movies...hahahohohehe

  5. I plan on seeing The Awkward Moment tomorrow with some girlfriends and The Vampire Academy in two weeks. I don't want to read your post on that one until I've seen it because I want to compare notes. I think Zane wants to watch The Lego Movie too :D

    1. You have to tell me how you liked The Awkward Moment! That looks hilarious!! I think I tweeted that preview last week. And we have to chat after you watch VA for sure! I can't wait to watch The Lego Movie with the boys.

    2. AH I LOVED The Awkward Moment :D I laughed the entire movie almost. There is quite a bit of cursing throughout, but it's rated R so Zane didn't go with me. We had a blast seeing this one.

    3. Yay! That is so great! I knew it would be good, but I had no idea it would be that funny. I can't wait to see it. Plus I'm a big Zac Efron fan.

  6. I haven't read The Fault in Our Stars yet either, but I know there's going to be a LOT of tears shed for the book and the movie. I'm looking forward to Vampire Academy. I'm getting ready to read Mead's Succubus series in March, which will be the first books by her I've read. I'm hyped! I'm wanting to take the kids to see the Lego movie, too. I've heard it's pretty funny. :)

I think I just saw a post yesterday or Saturday of yours about seeing The Vampire Academy? I'm looking right now to see if I hallucinated it, lol.

    1. Lol! Rest assured you did not hallucinate (this time). I can't wait for you to read Mead's succubus series! It's a fast read type series. And it's hot. Oh, and it takes place in Seattle. Tacoma gets no love. I cry just thinking about reading The Fault in Our Stars. but I'm going to do it. I can't wait to watch The Lego Movie with the boys. We'll have our contraband Skittles and we'll annoy anyone within two seats of us in all directions.
