You all have seen the COYER posts in the past, clean out your ereader, well, I sucked so bad last time. I think I read 2 books and bought the sequels to both! The rules have changed and we have from now until September 5th. I'm sure I can do better this time around. Since we can pretty much read whatever we want, ebook or paperback, I'm going with contest wins. The genres are all over the place, so we'll see what strikes my fancy. We'll also see how much I get done. I had this fantasy for the summer that I'd become a morning person, wake up with the sun, write a little, read a little, exercise too. No matter how quiet I am, the boys wake up exactly 30 minutes after me. I haven't dreamed up a new fantasy, er, productivity fantasy that is, but there is always time for a good book.
How about you? Are you participating in any reading challenges this summer? This one is pretty fun with a bunch of readathons, prizes, and a couple twitter parties. Click HERE (or the fun graphic) to check it out.
Hi Robyn. No, I'm not participating in any challenges except for the Goodreads yearly challenge. I got so busy lately that I just want to enjoy my time reading books, and so far it's been great :) I hope you enjoy finishing coyer!
ReplyDeleteThe Goodreads challenge is an awesome one! I like to slip in the COYER challenges to delude myself into thinking one day I'll be on top of my TBR list. Ha! Who wants that? Happy reading, Goldie!!
DeleteHey, Robyn!
ReplyDeleteI haven't participated in any challenge either. Honestly, I find it a little stressful and I am already two books behind on Goodreads. So, my plate is full!
I hope you'll manage to reach your goal this summer and the early morning type kind of thing, sounds good. Hell, sounds dreamy. Hope you'll make it. :)
Happy swimming, Robyn!
Oh, that Goodreads challenge. Some readers pack a lot of books into one year. I can't handle the pressure and I don't read all that fast.
DeleteI imagine your plate it full! It's funny how you look and look for a job and then get one and everything has to be dropped to protect the writing. I barely watch TV anymore.
Waking up early is totally dreamy. Man, I hope I can start doing that...
Happy flying, Athina!
That's so true, Robyn! Everything has to be dropped to protect the writing, indeed! There is no other way.
DeleteI don't read fast enough either, that's why my Goodreads challenge is not crazy at all. Only 30 books. Last year I read 25 so I guessed I could read five more. :)
Yeah, I barely watch TV anymore too and it shows Pretty Little Liars season 5! I should catch up! hehe.
Have a great week, Robyn!
So glad you are joining us :) Last COYER I did that crumby. I plan to do so much better this time around regardless of starting off with a DNF.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see all your reads/reviews!!!
We'll rock it, Michelle! I'm starting the challenge off with Cynthia Eden. It's going good so far. I hope you get lost in a great read after the DFN!
DeleteI hope you do great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer! I hope I make a dent in my contest wins. Of course I did just fatten my TBR list on your freebies post this week!
DeleteI sucked at COYER earlier this year too, girlie. Here's to us both doing better this go round! My genres will be all over the place too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you're participating in the COYER challenge again this summer, Robyn :) I look forward to reading your reviews :)
