I'm a terrible football girl

Blitz-nfl-mascotSome of you know I'm a total sports movie girl, but my mom and sister have been on a year long push to suck me into the world of the Seahawks and everything else football. I used to hang out on my computer during the games and now I growl if they change the channel to watch one of their shows before a game is over. That is not right. I'm not even sure what's happening here, but it's possible I love football. I love it when there's a loose ball and the guys just keep jumping on top of the pile. It's even more fun when the refs have to toss the players off the pile. I'm starting to have favorite players on other teams too. That has to be a bad non-football girl sign. Like Cam Newton. Wow. A few weeks ago Jon Ryan faked the other team out and instead of kicking the ball (punting?), he ran it in for a first down. I jumped to my feet, "That's just like in the movies!"

  1. Hehe ... Go go Robyn! I am not a football girl and I'm not a sports girl either. I love to play tennis with my boyfriend now and then, but my connection with sports ends right there.

    Have a great week, Robyn!

    1. I love tennis! I can't play at all, but I wish I could. I'm actually terrible at all sports...maybe not basketball. I haven't fallen into many sports books yet, but there's potential there.

Are you getting yourself prepared for the craziness that it NaNoWriMo?

    2. I love the idea of NaNoWriMo, but I haven't decided yet if I will join this year. Things are a bit unstable now and I don't know if I will have the time to do it. But I'm trying to finish the novel I'm working on as fast as I can. We'll see!:)

No NaNo for you this year, right?

    3. No NaNo for me. I'm tempted, but it wasn't so fruitful for me last time. I wrote the 50k words, but it was chaos and not the good kind.

I hope things get stable soon, but I know no matter what, your artist mind will turn the bad into something beautiful.

  2. Brady has Jack to thank for my love of football. When I was pregnant with Jack, I was content to sit at home and watch football all weekend and have been since then. I have players I like on other teams. I always liked Josh Cribbs - he played for the Browns, and I'm not sure who he plays for now. I also love Peyton Manning - he just seems like a good guy. I think football is a lot of fun to watch, as you know, lol.

    1. That is so cool! I am hooked now. I loved the Cowboys game last night against WA, but I will remain a sports movie girl. I don't know Josh Cribbs, but I totally agree about Peyton Manning. And the Broncos might take it all this season. My dad's ears probably just perked up at that even though he doesn't read my blog. You are our Bengals fan so we always root for them.

  3. That's hilarious! I'm smiling that you're becoming a non-football football fan. You know I grew up watching football...I'm from Texas, after all...but I've weened myself. Now I only see replays when James says "honey, watch this". It almost sad for me that I've become a football non-football fan. *haha* I'm opposite of you. But I just couldn't take the mood swings brought on by the Cowboys sucking. And I'm speaking of my hubs' mood swings, not mine. ;) I'm going to have to go look up Cam Newton now. But here are a few players I like...Peyton Manning (I agree with Jennifer - he's a good guy), Drew Brees (QB for NO), and Aaron Rodgers. I am NOT a fan of Philip Rivers - he reminds me of my hs/college boyfriend and he whines and throws tantrums. There are a few other players I wasn't fond of but they've retired now. :/

Anywho, cheers to you my non-football football fan of a best friend! Just means we can make even more football/book bets! ;)

    1. See, James had a great thing going before he let his trash talk ruin it! Not that I'm a Cowboys fan because they have already cost me one book girl bet this season, but you stick with your team even when they suck balls. That's part of the code, man! You tell him I said that. Yeah. hehe

      Go Hawks!!
