Q: If you could hang out with any author (living) who would it be and what would you want to do?
I just saw a clip on Rainbows and Books with John Green. I would love to hang out with him, though I do not think I'm up to his speed, literally; the man talks a mile a minute with pure conviction and he's funny! Also, I would love to hang out with Patricia Briggs. She's one of my favorite authors. Okay, and Craig Johnson too. He has to be funny in real life because his Longmire series always makes me laugh.

But just so you know, I'd be a bumbling fool. I wouldn't really be "hanging out" as much as nodding and smiling and tapping my toes. With John Green I'd love to sit in that library of his while he rambles about whatever. I'm sure something he says will cue a book he has, then he'll look for it in his maze of shelves. I'd love to go on a walk with Patricia Briggs. She could show me her horses and then get so comfortable talking to me that she shares the plot line of the next Alpha & Omega book. With Craig Johnson (and his wife) I would just hope I didn't ask them to adopt me.

    1. I saw one of her book talks online. She seems that way to me too. I remember her saying if something in your novel doesn't push the story foward, cut it. I argued and whined at my computer screened then agreed with her. I don't even know her and she's a good mentor.

  7. Nice FF, Robyn. I haven't read any book by John Green. In fact I had to check him out on Wikipedia because I don't know him. *hides my face in shame* I'm still yet to get any Craig Johnson book, though I have The Cold Dish sitting on my TBR list.

The author I'd love to hang out with is James Dashner. He's a friend on Facebook :) I enjoyed his Maze Runner series and I'm looking forward to reading The Eyes of Mind.

    Happy Reading! :)

    1. Oh, I have Maze Runner on my library wish list. I have to read that! I remember one of your posts where you talked to the characters. I loved that. For shame about John Green...kidding! I haven't read so many rising stars and well established authors. My reading list grows every FF.

    1. I haven't read his most popular books. I fell in love with Will Grayson Will Grayson. These FF's always make me want to reorganize my TBR shelf!

  9. Hilarious answer. You know, for any of them, I probably would be content to just sit back and listen to whatever they have to say. No need to inject my own nonsense into it.

    Thanks for visiting.

    1. That's me too! And in the end, we'd all blog our hearts out about it later. So haning out or being a fly on the wall, get pictures and autographs (if you can swing it, free bookmarks).

  10. Lol, those are awesome ways to spend time with the authors, I don't know how she would feel about adopting a mom and her two sons though. I never come up with the great questions when being in front of them. (Okay, I've never been in front of an author before) but I mean, anywhere, then when I'm alone I think, "I should have said this..." My brain works in strange ways sometimes lol

    1. I'm totally like that Rivie! And I've only been to one author talk (Marissa Meyer of Cinder). I asked a question, but my mind worked a mile a minute during her talk. Part of me was processing her words as a freaked out newbie author, part a newbie blogger, and part a fangirl. I was exhausted afterward. My brain is the least helpful when someone is mean or cruel. I'm usually so shocked I have no response until hours later. Grrh.

  12. Robyn,

Thanks for stopping by my blog on 4/24! I'm an old follower via GFC, Google+ and Bloglovin'.

I have TFIOS by John Green but haven't read it yet. I won a hardback copy of it late last year. I haven't been ready to jump into another emotional read just yet but hopefully before the summer is over with I can check it out.
