This week's question is: ACTIVITY! Hopefully warm
weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor
reading spot. Or take a picture.
As much as I love reading, when the weather is nice, I'm outdoors with my boys. We live in a shoebox apartment so when school is out, so are we. Take a look.
When I get a chance to read, it's on this little couch. I have to share with the toys and my 4yr old. And that's my pillow I have to steal back.
How about you? Where is your reading spot?
All future followers if you could follow through Google+ or through email subscription that would be super cool since I have no idea what's going to happen to GFC. Is it really going away? Here's a link about switching to Google + http://www.theatlanticwire.com/technology/2011/10/how-survive-switch-google-reader-google/44069/.
While you're here, check out the kid quotes on the sidebar. And if you're interested in signing up for the Soul Bender Tour in April click on the button on the top left of the page. Happy blogging!
I always love reading on my big, comfy sofa as well! New GFC Follower :)

The couch is where it's at. Mine has taken a serious hit this week since my poor little boy got sick all over it. I want a new couch!
DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. New follower. I love reading inside, outside, day, night anywhere, anytime
ReplyDeleteAnytime for sure. And I just remembered the other place I love reading, waiting rooms!
DeleteMy favorite indoor spot to read is on my sofa that's in an open loft-like space. I just love reading there and hardly use the living room downstairs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and following! Following you back via GFC.
An open loft-like space sounds like a dream! I love it. When I picture my grown up living space (I'm a grown up but I still think in terms of...when I grow up), I imagine a wide open loft.
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
ReplyDeleteI followed back!
Great Beach view, Robyn. I've never been to any beach before, but I hope to be there someday. I see you and your boys are having a good time. That's great! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF. :)
We certainly know how to play. That's my sister we're splashing to oblivion. She asked for it...literally asked to be splashed. hehe
DeleteIf I had little ones, I dont think reading outside would work either. You couch looks comfy.
ReplyDeleteNew follower on Google Plus.
thanks for stopping by.
It's under quarantine right now with the little one being terribly sick right now, but I'll get it back one day. Sadness. Thanks for following back!
DeleteHi
ReplyDeleteaww looking at your picture makes me want to go to the beach but too bad I'd lost to my fear (almost drowned once) =/ so I guess I'm better stick with what I do best. It's to read =D
Thanks for stopping by and I'm now following you back via email

That's terrible about almost drowning. I'm part fish, but I really get how scary the water can be. I got sucked under a flooded bridge doing a stupid tubing stunt when I was a kid. If I didn't have completely backwards reactions to emergencies, I would have been freaked for sure. Thanks for the follow!
DeleteAhhhh that is the perfect reader's couch! You know...i can't even read at the beach? I get too hot. I want to be in the water. Or build sandcastles, etc. So I'm with you on not reading outside, but enjoying it instead! :D
ReplyDeleteold follower :)
Totally Tiffany! I think I laid out in the sun one time in my entire life. And that was because of hot boys not reading. I want to play outside and relax inside.
DeleteWhat cute pics! With rambunctious boys, I guess it's a good thing you can read at all!
ReplyDeleteIs GFC going away? I thought it was just Google Reader, or does going means the other one does, too? (Still new at this.) :)
Stephanie (Go Flash Go) @ Read, Rinse, Repeat
Here's my F&F
I don't understand the whole Google Reader thing because we use Google reader to stay updated with GFC. I've read that you need to switch over to Google+, but what the heck does that mean?
DeleteThe boys are rambunctious. John keeps putting on tank tops and shorts because he can't wait for warmer weather.
Awww, that's so nice! You read with your kids? That's awesome. As long as they don't bother you wile you arereading :D
ReplyDeleteWait - so it's GFC that's disappearing? I thought it was Google Reader? Not both? I don't understand.
I don't think it was GFC, so I've followed you via GFC :)
Thanks for visiting my blog!

Oh, we're big readers here. My four year old asks me, "Mom are you an author?" And he knows who Mo Willems is.
DeleteThat is so cute!

I'm jealous of you being near the ocean! :) The sofa is a great place to read as well. And being outside gets those creative juices flowing, right?!? It's great you get to enjoy outside with your kiddos! Enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh, I followed you GFC, email and Google + :)
Leaving town for a day trip to the beach inspired one of my favorite novellas! I got home and wrote it in a few days. It's a four hour drive to the beach, but we make as many trips over the summer as possible!
DeleteNice pictures. I guess reading on the little couch with your kid is priceless.
ReplyDeleteOld follower. Here is my FF http://goo.gl/5VVRD
It is real nice when they lean on me as I read a book of their choice. We have many favorites.
DeleteThe couch sounds good especially with your children.
ReplyDeletehttp://tributebooksmama.blogspot.com/2013/03/feature-follow_15.html
It's a two person couch, but we make it work!
DeleteHey! Thanks for stopping by! I follow you a few different ways, and one of the ways is by email. I hate this whole Google Reader/GFC thing dying out. It really sucks!
ReplyDeleteI have two kids - a 10 year old daughter and a 3 year old son - so it is difficult for me to read outside, but at my dad's house it's okay. He lives out in the country and has a big backyard, so I don't have to worry about keeping such a close eye on them. :) I'll have to take a picture of the treeless treehouse I read in. ;)
Our kids are similar in age, but I have two boys. It's impossible to read outside with them. You have to take a picture of the treeless treehouse! I'm going to hit your blog again and make sure I'm following via email too!
DeleteI love reading on the sofa. It's so comfortable.
ReplyDeleteNew GFC Follower
Thanks for following http://pinkyjustlisten.blogspot.com/
You know Google won't let me follow anyone by Google +? They don't believe my name is Jaclyn Canada so my page has been on hold indefinitely. Would love to get that taken care of :D Love the outdoor water fun! Zane and I are always playing catch when we are outside...especially this time of year.
ReplyDeleteThat sucks about google+. I hope that gets settled soon. I love chase! Man, they're fast. Whenever they catch me I'm full of screams and giggles.
DeleteThe beach! :) where I live, the beaches sorta look like that too; low tide :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my post!
Longbeach has this forever stretch of sand that's soft as silk, but compact enough to drive on. The water is freezing, but what a thrill!
