Feature & Follow [16] Uh, um, we are not on the same page.

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Q: What book (or TV show or movie) have you not read that seemingly everyone else has?

Goodness, the reading list is long! I haven't read Divergent, City of Bones, all books by Colleen Hoover, Julia Kagawa, and anything with a guitar and half naked chick locking lips with a hot tatted up guy. But I have an awesome TBR list, so that's good.

The list of TV shows is just as depressing. I can't really handle Netflix because I hit show marathons hard and end up telling my kids to cook your own including the 4 year old. So no Dexter, Game of Thrones, Vampire Diaries, Glee, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead.

This is a weekly blog meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.

  1. Hopping through. I haven't watched Glee. I don't know if I'd like it or not. I love singing although the show sounds kind of silly.

    1. What a fun profile picture, Alison! There were times I wished I had started Glee at the beginning, but people suddenly breaking out in song freaks me out a little. Thanks for stopping by and for the follow. I'm on my way over to check out your FF.

    1. Dexter is one of those shows I wish I had the stomach for. Everyone talks about it. I know the story and characters are amazing. Damn my wussiness.

Right back at you with having a fantastic Friday, Lexxie.

  4. Hehe I haven't read these books either but I have watched most of the shows. Only Breaking Bad and Glee aren't on my list but Glee is not my style. :)

    1. I love when my favorite shows have a singing episode. Glee wasn't my style either, but I love the music. I chuckle at the thought of you watching a peppy teen musical. They did a Thriller homage, but I just don't think there's enough blood for your liking. I'm glad I'm not alone with the books I have waiting for me.

  5. The four-year-old can cook. Why not? I mean, you really need to get your priorities straight! ;-)

    1. You're right. Ha. If only John could cook his own, but he mainly whips open the fridge and stands there staring and shouting, "Mom!" like that awful TV commercial with the Family Guy baby. I can't wait to explore your blogs more. Thanks for stopping by and for the follow.

  6. HA I haven't read Divergent either, Robyn. Or Julie Kagawa OR most of Ms. Hoover's books (I have read Slammed and Point of Retreat though). But I do like me some tatted up bad boys...with or without guitars! LOL My TBR though, it's getting unmanageable, really. I told Lexxie I need to carve out some time to divide that baby into more shelves. :)

As for t.v. and movies...well, you know I haven't seen anything cool in quite awhile. And I don't even have kids as my excuse!

Happy Friday! It's snowing here. What's your sky look like?

    1. Snowing?! It was 40 this morning and let me tell you this wussy girl was cold. I'm still cold, but the sky is baby blue after days of punishing rain. If I hadn't pulled my calf muscle I would be running through the park (hehe, no I wouldn't).

I know you love your tatted up bad boys. And man, you have an insane TBR shelf, virtual and real life. I just can't imagine why you don't watch much TV. What a puzzle.

  7. LOL!!! I love your description of almost every romance novel cover I have seen. I haven't read those either. I haven't read Divergent but my wife and I are starting it today. She really likes the YA stuff and she thinks I will like it.

New bloglovin follower, have a great weekend.

    1. That would be so awesome if your wife turned you into a total Divergent fanboy. I'll be on the look out for your review. Thanks for stopping by and for the follow. I followed back! Have a great weekend!

  8. Well, I'm pressing reply but nothing happens. :/
Come on, I don't watch only killing and blood stuff. :) I've watched Gossip Girl and I liked it. It's just thrillers and police novels are more interesting. :)

    1. I know you don't. I missed out on Gossip Girl because it came on when my oldest only relaxed when sci-fi was on so I got into the Star Treks and Stargates. Any time I tried to watch a show with girls talking fast the kid went nuts. I should have started reading the Jo Nesbo novel by now but I pushed the wrong button on my library account and erased all my holds! I was so bummed. I had to get to the back of the line for over 20 items.

    2. Well Star Trek and Stargate sounds good. :)
Oh, that sucks. I was looking forward to know your thoughts on Nesbo. :/

    3. I'll have thoughts to share. Promise. I'm back on the hold list. I just saw they have a whole bunch of Jo Nesbo books. That's so cool!

  9. You should have Once Upon a Time on your list LOL!! You do have a mighty TBR and you've been working your way well through it. I think you've done great on the books you have read. I've not read Divergent either or Hoover yet. I don't do contemporaries well though. Great answer! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.

    1. Here's my logic on Once Upon a Time. With the books, I'll read them for sure. With the shows, I missed to boat, but I'm determined to watch OUAT so I didn't add it to the list. I know the math doesn't line up with my logic there. I just saw a preview for Divergent. Looks amazing. That series just got bumped up to this year for sure. I noticed you're not big on contemporaries. I never was until I read Perfect Chemistry. The weekend is flying by with me being completely useless. Tomorrow I'll get shit done...maybe. I hope Zane is feeling better soon!
